Reflecting on 2025: A Year of Connection, Growth, and Momentum.
By Bart Meursing, Chief Revenue Officer, Neptune Software
As we approach the end of 2025, I have been reflecting on what this year really meant for Neptune. Not just for results, but for the conversations, the relationships, and the momentum we built together. It has been a year with a lot of movement in our market. SAP customers were faced with meaningful decisions that shaped their transformation paths and SAP Clean Core was everywhere. Partners had to rethink their strategies. And everyone looked for practical ways to bring AI into their operations without losing control.
But through that shift, our focus became even sharper.
For Neptune, 2025 became a year defined by connection, focus, and genuine forward motion. And more than anything, it was a reminder of why we exist as a company: to equip people to reimagine what is possible inside their SAP landscape and beyond.
Here are the key moments that shaped not only the year but set the foundation of what’s coming next.
Welcoming New Customers and Growing With Existing Ones
One of the most energizing parts of this year was seeing our customer base grow and our relationships deepen. Compass Group, who joined us at the end of 2024, continued to build momentum with Neptune in 2025. And Halliburton, already a valued customer, expanded their engagement with us. Both operate on a tremendous scale and chose to invest further in Neptune because they see the need for a modern, flexible way to bring SAP closer to the business.
These wins validate something important. Large enterprises want to innovate faster, but they cannot afford to compromise their SAP clean core or introduce technical debt. Neptune gives them both speed and safety.
What mattered just as much was the progress we made with long-standing customers. More of our conversations shifted from isolated use cases to long-term digital transformation roadmaps that span multiple teams and processes. We sat together to explore what the next three years will look like, not just the next quarter. Watching customers expand into new departments or roll out Neptune across multiple countries is a strong sign that we are growing in the right way. Not through volume alone, but through value.
Bringing AI and AI Agents Into the Product
If 2024 was the year the world truly embraced AI at an enterprise level, then 2025 was the year enterprises began to operationalize it. For Neptune, that meant launching AI capabilities that customers could use in real processes, not just experiments.
Consolidating our AI strategy with Naia and introducing new innovations, including our AI Agent capabilities, changed the way customers see our platform. Suddenly the conversation was not only about building apps faster. It was about enabling teams to automate steps, assist users, and make better decisions in their daily work. It was about creating intelligent, repeatable workflows that reduce friction across the business.
By the end of the year, AI will no longer be a futuristic topic in meetings. It will become a matter of practical questions like: How do we use this in our SAP landscape and beyond, safely and sustainably?
This shift is opening now, more than ever new opportunities and bringing new level of relevance to what we do.
A Clearer Story With the Digital Core
Back in May, we sharpened our message around the Digital Core. This turned out to be one of the most impactful decisions of the year. It gave us a simple and clear way to explain what Neptune actually enables: a stable SAP clean core supported by an AI-driven platform that helps customers innovate faster, safer, and with more control.
The Digital Core brings together everything enterprises need to modernize SAP without adding complexity. AI-assisted development accelerates how teams build. AI-powered applications improve decision making and reduce downtime. AI-driven automation helps streamline processes end-to-end. And customers can deploy all of this on-prem, in the cloud, or in hybrid environments based on their IT strategy.
When customers saw how this strengthened their SAP clean core, improved governance, and gave them a path to adopt AI in a practical way, the message clicked. It aligned perfectly with the challenges they face today and the conversations became clearer and faster.
Deepening Our Engagement in the SAP and Industry Ecosystem
Another highlight of the year was doubling down our presence and contribution to major SAP and industry conferences. Sapphire, TechEd, UI5con, and the SAP User Group and vertical forums brought back the energy of meeting customers face to face. It reminded us how important it is to be present, to listen, and to understand the realities our customers deal with every day.
What made this year even more special was seeing our customers share their own success stories on stage and in our virtual sessions. Saint-Gobain joined us at the Gartner IT Symposium in Barcelona to speak about how they are digitizing planning and forecasting while still on ECC. Their honesty and practical perspective resonated with many SAP leaders in the room who are trying to modernize without disrupting their core systems.
We also had the privilege of hearing from the Norwegian Defense Forces, who shared how they are using Neptune to increase efficiency and control in some of the most sensitive and mission-critical environments imaginable. Their work in logistics, recruitment, and predictive maintenance showed how AI and automation can deliver real operational value when governance, security, and data privacy come first.
These stories continued at our Neptune Experience webinar, where Saint-Gobain and Vodafone both walked through their journeys in detail. Hearing directly from the teams who run these processes every day is powerful. It shows what SAP clean core, practical innovation can look like when it is done right, even in highly regulated or complex landscapes.
You cannot replace those real conversations. The questions people ask at the booth, the candid feedback in hallway discussions, the moments where you see a demo and something suddenly makes sense. These sessions helped us strengthen our visibility in the SAP ecosystem and showed that Neptune continues to be a trusted, leading player in the market.
From Pipeline to Partnership
One thing that stood out this year was how our customer relationships matured. We saw more multi-country rollouts, more enterprise-wide programs, and more strategic conversations than ever before. Customers increasingly look to Neptune not just as a platform, but as a partner who understands the realities of SAP, supports their SAP clean core strategy, and helps them shape a practical path toward AI adoption and continuous innovation.
At the same time, our partner ecosystem became an even stronger extension of how we deliver value. Partners like IBM and Accenture opened doors to large enterprise opportunities. VMG Labs supported key customer sessions such as Vodafone. And partners like S4IT continued to help customers deploy Neptune at scale with the governance, expertise, and industry knowledge they expect. These collaborations expanded our reach and strengthened the trust customers place in Neptune and in the ecosystem around us.
Our best outcomes this year came from these combined relationships: customers who trust us with their transformation journey, and partners who help bring that journey to life. That is exactly what we mean when we talk about equipping people to reimagine the possible.
Stronger Alignment Across the Organization
2025 was also the year where we significantly improved how we work internally. Product, Marketing, Solution Consulting, Sales, Partner Ecosystem, Field Success, SDR, Business Value Consulting and Customer Success came together around a clearer message and a stronger rhythm. Our enablement became sharper. Our processes became cleaner. And our teams became more connected across regions. All with one single focus: bring true measurable value to our customers.
This alignment made a real difference. It helped us win deals faster. It helped customers experience a smoother journey. And it helped us bring our amazing technology in the hands of our customers so that they can solve their most strategic challenges.
The Rise of AI in Every Customer Conversation
What impressed me most this year was the speed at which AI became part of almost every customer discussion. Not as hype. Not as a checkbox. But as a practical tool for extending SAP in smarter ways.
Customers asked about AI-enabled workflows, conversational task execution, predictive insights, and how to transform manual steps into guided, intelligent processes. AI became a natural extension of modern SAP innovation. And that made Neptune even more relevant.
What I Learned This Year
If I had to summarize 2025 in one thought, it would be this. Growth is not only measured in numbers. It is measured in the quality of relationships, in the trust we build, and in the confidence customers have in our ability to help them move forward.
What impressed me this year was how closely our teams worked with customers to deliver real outcomes. The energy, the curiosity, and the willingness to try new things reminded me why this company matters. It comes down to our people. We have an incredible group of talented individuals across all professions who bring expertise, creativity, and heart to the work they do every day.
That is what allows us to remove friction, solve real problems, and help customers build better ways of working. And it ties directly back to our mission of equipping people to reimagine the possible. This year, I saw that mission come to life, not as a slogan, but as something our teams practice alongside customers every day.
Looking Ahead to 2026
If 2025 was the year of clarity, 2026 will be the year of acceleration. AI will move deeper into the Digital Core. SAP clean core and customization will no longer be competing ideas. And customers will look for partners who can turn transformation into daily operational value.
I am excited for our CEO Andreas Grydeland Sulejewski to share more about what this next chapter will look like in his upcoming blog. We have built a strong foundation. And now it is time to scale it.
As we wrap up 2025, I want to extend my sincere thanks to our customers and partners for their continued trust and collaboration. And to the Neptune crew, your energy, authenticity, and dedication are what make this company special. I look forward to everything we will achieve together in 2026. Until then, I wish you all a peaceful holiday season and a successful start to the new year.
If you would like to talk about how Neptune can support your goals next year, our doors are always open.
