Forsvaret (the Norwegian Military), together with S5 Consulting and the Neptune Software DX Platform streamlined their inventory management processes by cutting the number of transactions needed to complete inventory counts from 11 to 3 reducing count times by 80%. They have also optimized logistic and handling processes for soldiers’ equipment with a new, intuitive self-service kiosk. Finding smart and simple solutions with the Neptune DX Platform to make end users work more efficiently, and their SAP system run smarter.

The Norwegian Armed Forces (Norwegian: Forsvaret, “The Defence”) is the military organization responsible for the defense of Norway. It consists of four branches, the Norwegian Army, the Royal Norwegian Navy, which includes the Coast Guard, the Royal Norwegian Air Force, and the Home Guard, as well as several joint departments. The Armed Forces currently have over 5,000 civilian positions and 12,000 military positions, with everything from economists, social scientists, engineers, and lawyers to ICT personnel.
