Geeks Blog: SAP Edition – Neptune Setup Helper.

Previously, the installation of Neptune DXP – SAP Edition required a number of manual configuration steps, including: uploading the Neptune DXP and SAPUI5 transport files, setup STRUST certificates, activating SICF nodes, setup of the lock handling variant and jobs, and importing Neptune roles.
To reduce effort and minimize potential errors, we now provide the Neptune Setup Helper. This program automates the installation process through a guided, step-by-step set of configuration screens, ensuring all required tasks are executed correctly and consistently.
The Neptune Setup Helper can be used for all current versions of Neptune DXP – SAP Edition (21,22,23 and 24) and it can be used for new installations and upgrades.
The Neptune Setup Helper supports and guides you through the following steps:
- Pre-Installation Checks – Validates system compatibility
- Get zip files from the Portal – Directs you to the required transport files in the Neptune Portal
- Install DXP SAP Edition – Import the Neptune SAP Edition transports
- Install SAPUI5 – Import the SAPUI5 library transports
- Install STRUST Certificates – Setup the required ssl certificates
- Post-Installation steps – Activation of SICF nodes, Lock Handling configuration and run installation check.

Neptune recommends using the Neptune Setup Helper to carry out automated installation of the Neptune DXP – SAP Edition to facilitate the installation process. Alternatively, if required, you can still perform the manual installation following the steps detailed in the manual installation guide.
