Neptune IMPACT 2022 Recap

Neptune IMPACT was one for the books...
With IMPACT 2022 behind us, it’s time to look back and relive the memories we shared together during our time in Oslo. Where to start? For the first time in three years we were all able to come together, face to face, to learn, share, and network – it was a long time coming and we are so excited we finally got to spend time together again. The energy was really something, wasn’t it? An amazing venue, so many smiles and shared laughs – not to mention all of the amazing customer stories and awesome insight about the future from top thought leaders.

Don't worry though, if you missed out on the fun, you're in the right spot.
We understand schedules are busy and that for some, Norway was a far way to travel. We might not be able to make up for the fact you missed IMPACT in person, but lucky for you, we recorded it all! Sure it will be a little different than watching everything live, but we didn’t want to keep these stories from you. Below you will find the recordings of all of our sessions, along with pictures from the day. We hope you enjoy watching them as much as we did!

Developer Experience and the Low Code Paradox: A view of the modern tech landscape
In this talk, James Governor will outline industry trends converging to drive the need and opportunity for low code as part of the toolkit of modern application delivery. But as enterprises, startups and scaleups increasingly appreciate the value of addressing the developer experience gap, low code and no code threaten to tip the balance back, making the lives of professional developers harder rather than easier. So how can we make both professional developers and low coders productive and happy? The answer is architecture and process, addressing the social technical systems needed to build and develop digital services in a modern way. We will look at the past, present and future of the dialectic of low code, no code and pro code.

Capacitor, Cordova, and the Web Native Revolution
Neptune Software recently announced a new partnership that will bring Capacitor, the popular open-source cross-platform native bridge, to developers and teams building mobile, web, and desktop applications with Neptune DXP.
Capacitor—a direct replacement for Cordova—has surged in popularity in recent years, and was recently rated #1 in developer satisfaction for mobile. In this talk, we’ll discuss how the mobile and web development landscape has changed dramatically since Cordova was first released back in 2009, and why switching from Cordova to Capacitor can help enterprise teams dramatically increase app performance, boost app security, and more easily access native device features.
