Whirlpool improves its sales processes with new apps for quoting and approvals.
Whirlpool is known around the world as the leading kitchen and laundry appliance company. To stay competitive, they needed a way to make sure they had a competitive pricing model and also wanted to find a tool that could be used by any sales team no matter their location. This is why they set out to find a new low-code solution that needed to be created with limited IT development resources but could be used offline, and show relevant information depending on what store the user was operating in.
Whirlpool decided the way to achieve their goals would be to partner with Neptune Software and harness the power of the Neptune DX Platform.
Over the course of 8 months with only two developers and two consultants, Whirlpool was able to accomplish their goals. Their suite of applications reduced the email correspondence between teams and produced a better record of approvals. The new applications sped up the quotation process which increased sales efficiency. Most importantly, the new applications created fully integrated into SAP with customizable pricing procedures. All of these new apps reduced their reliance on Excel and made their sales team’s work available on any device online and offline. In total their apps hold data for over 765,000 SKU pricing items and their sales processes are running smoother than ever.
