Vattenfall digitizes their Plant Maintenance processes with mobile PM apps and a new scheduling tool.
Vattenfall has a goal to make fossil-free living possible within one generation. In order to do that, they needed to find a way to mobilize their processes and create a competitive edge in the industry. They set out to find a solution that provisions all of their relevant equipment data on-site and guaranteed offline work for up to 14-days. They needed to create an easy UI for fast onboarding for new users and improve first-time fix rates in the field. In order to make sure to stay a step ahead of the competition, they wanted a solution that would not only be scalable but to be cost and time effective during maintenance processes.
Vattenfall discovered Neptune Software and after seeing the power of the Neptune DX Platform decided this was the perfect fit to help them realize fossil-free living.
In 6 months Vattenfall created a series of offline UI5 apps available on laptop and tablet devices. Their apps seamlessly integrate into their SAP PM instance and give their employees the ability to get their jobs done faster with fewer errors. The apps manage orders and notifications, are equipped with a dynamic checklist tool, active synchronization, and confirmation of used materials and measurements. The development of a UI5 based order dispatching tool was also created in the process. With the new processes in place, Vattenfall is one step closer to achieving their goal and are set to continue making improvements to our world as we know it.
