Statkraft delivers a mobile experience for its operations and maintenance teams.
Statkraft is a leading company in hydropower internationally and Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy. Producing renewable energy can often lead to having to work in difficult remote environments where service and internet may not always be available. That is why Statkraft knew they needed to modernize their processes to help alleviate some of these difficulties in the field. They wanted to improve first-time fix rates, to eliminate double work, they also wanted all relevant equipment data on-site available. Most importantly, whatever solution they decided to go with, workers needed to be able to update and store data offline for up to 14 days.
Statkraft set out to find the perfect partner and after vetting and researching they found Neptune Software. After learning about the Neptune DX Platform, Statkraft was ready to make the move and start to modernize.
Within 6 months, Statkraft rolled out a suite of offline UI5 mobile applications for over 100 users that integrate directly into their SAP PM module. They have drastically reduced onboarding and training time for new users and also reduced the time around maintenance processes which in turn reduced a lot of overhead costs. They have applications for orders and notifications, material and measurements, dynamic checklists, and order dispatching tools. Statkraft completely reworked their plant maintenance processes and became more lean and agile because of it.
