The new
No-Code/Low-Code Study 2022 is here
Why No-Code/Low-Code is a game changer for companies in the SAP space
We are surrounded by a digital and constantly changing infrastructure. The result is an immense demand for customized software. But there are not as many programmers as one would need. This is where no-code and low-code come into play: software development with little or no programming code.
But how does the use of no-code/low-code look in practice? Neptune Software, together with CIO, CSO and COMPUTERWOCHE, conducted a comprehensive survey of over 600 companies of various sizes on the use of no-code/low-code in a wide range of industries.
In this study, you will find answers to these exciting questions:
- For which SAP company sectors is the no-code or low-code approach being adopted? With what results?
- What new organizational challenges are being faced?
- How do companies assess the potential of no-code/low-code?
- Will low-code platforms transform the SAP software world?

An Insight into the Key Findings of the
No-Code/Low-Code Study 2022
67% of the surveyed expect
no-code/low-code use to expand significantly in the future
More than 67% of of those surveyed who develop software with no-code/low-code platforms anticipate that the use of these platforms will increase (53 per cent) or signifi- cantly increase (14 per cent) within the next three years – both in their own and in other companies.
The expectation of a somewhat significant expansion of no-code/low-code use is logical, as most companies, regardless of size and sector, will (have to) drive the digital transformation in the next few years in order to remain competitive in the future.

Applications (SAP and NON-SAP) created with no-code/low-code, which allow special process requirements to be mapped, or competitively differentiated digital processes and business models to be created, play a subordinate role or no role for business in only seven per cent of the companies.
This means that from a strategic point of view, these apps are an important building block in a company’s IT landscape and its business operations.
