Mercury digitizes its labor allocation on job sites with “Bring Your Own Device” strategy.
Mercury relied heavily on their SAP enterprise solutions but sometimes sites weren’t IT-friendly and their teams weren’t using the SAP solutions directly. Site managers oftentimes were also not the most technically trained. This pushed Mercury to work to find a solution that would help fix on-site data inaccuracies and at the same time integrate with their existing SAP ERP system. The solution needed to be delivered quickly and be cost-effective. They wanted the solution to be used on any device and it needed to not only involve internal users but vendors and sub-contractors on- and offline.
Partnered with Client Solutions, Mercury was able to harness the power of the Neptune DX Platform to accomplish all of their goals and more.
In just four months, Mercury created a suite of apps that more accurately captured data and logged it in real-time. This made site teams more commercially aware and provided better data for future bids and areas of improvement. The staff saw the new technology as helpful instead of a hindrance and all of it integrated into their already existing SAP ERP system. Because these apps can be used on Android phones and tablets as well as iPhones and iPad’s it allowed Mercury to put into place a “bring your own device” policy. With the help of Client Solutions and Neptune Software, Mercury streamlined their time management process with new mobile solutions.
