Elkjøp optimizes in-store sales for B2B and B2C customers and increases product availability by 20%.

Elkjøp wanted to keep up with leading online retailers like Amazon and completely refresh their in-store ordering system. They wanted to provide a more modern customer experience but one that was deployable on any device. They needed a solution that would be able to consume new technologies easily and could remove the need for customized back-end databases. They also wanted to be able to show relevant customer information depending on what store the user was shopping in.

This is when Elkjøp decided to partner with Einr who showed them the power of the Neptune DX Platform and how it would be able to help with their transformation.

Elkjøp’s continuing to develop their applications but since they started the project they have released their apps that run on Windows10, Android and iOS to over 10,000 users. They now have full integration with their stock control and logistics systems and are managing over 16,000 SKU’s. They have gained a 20% increase in product availability and have created a seamless and visually pleasing user experience. They have also moved to a Microservice Architecture to increase their business agility. They created these solutions with the help of two developers and a project manager.

All of the 400 department stores in the Nordic region mainly receive their goods supply from their own distribution business, with a central warehouse in Jönköping.
