Norsk Gjenvinnning automates 95% of customer invoicing with new mobile experience for drivers in less than 6 months improving waste collection for a modern world.

Norsk Gjenvinning’s first go at mobility for its driver’s life-cycle was coming to an end six years after implementation. Their original solution consisted of a “PC” type device that cost around 3,000 Euros to build and three months to program and get ready for use. This prompted them to continue their mobile transformation to improve waste collection for a modern world and work with Neptune Software’s low-code rapid application development platform, Neptune DXP, to create a new application for drivers that would allow them to use their own devices and be available anywhere, on- or offline.

The goal was to create a user experience their staff was already familiar with, and create a solution that even drivers who were only with them a few weeks would be able to pick up on and utilize. The application was designed to reduce the number of clicks, which in turn created better data input with fewer errors. They also wanted 95% of all orders from drivers to invoicing of customers to be automated without any human touch.

After less than 6 months, Norsk Gjenvinning realized a bring your own device workplace, a completely customized interface that reflected corporate branding, and a user experience their drivers love bringing their mobile solution into a modern world.
